Equipment calibration and spare parts

AMS offers calibration of measuring or precision equipment —such as CNC Machines— through the Agilent Laser. This allows for even greater precision for large dimensions and ensures the movements of high-precision linear equipment. We have technical staff certified by Carl Zeiss Germany for its use and the management of the data obtained to intervene on the equipment correctors.

We have technical staff certified by Carl Zeiss Germany for its use and the management of the data obtained to intervene on the correctors of 3D Measuring equipment. AMS also offers a calibration service for Carl Zeiss equipment. For this it uses the Stepgage, certified control standards that allow for more precise calibrations.

Initial preparation. Data backup.

  • Completion of a full back-up with the following information: control parameters, macros, CAA files, firmware and software status and total working hours of the CMM.

Determination of the current CMM status.

  • Completion of 2 spatial measurements at the center of the measurement volume.
  • Realización de una prueba de desvío del palpador.
  • Completion of a sphere center position measurement.

Measuring table.

  • Measurement and adjustment of the measuring table level.

RST / TP6 probe body.

  • Visual inspection.
  • Measurement of the probe deviation.
  • Probing repeatability test.

DSE measuring head.

  • Measurement of traction force on axes A and B.
  • Adjustment of the reader signals (axes A and B).
  • Inspection and cleaning of the electromagnet and electrical contacts. Also applicable to the RDS measuring head.
  • Check and adjustment of the output stage of axes A and B.
  • Check and adjustment of the zero point offset.
  • Check and adjustment of the dynamic and probing parameters.
  • Check of all adapter plates.

Parallelism measurement and correction: table – X guide.

  • Measurement and correction of parallelism between the measuring table and the X-axis guide, according to the Zeiss/AMS service protocol.

Electrical calibrations

  • Check of the positioning behavior.
  • Check of the drive monitor.
  • Check and adjustment of the probing speed and maximum speed in manual mode.
  • Check and adjustment of the scale readers.
  • Check and adjustment of the overcurrent protection.
  • Check and adjustment of the output stages of the X/Y/Z drives.
  • Optimization of dynamic behavior via software.

CAA files

  • Activation of the correction files (square.caa, guideway.caa and Y-type file) for the X/Y/Z axes.
  • Activation of the correction file for the DSE / RDS measuring head, as applicable.
  • Activation of the temperature compensation option.
  • Activation of the Z-axis torsion correction.

Ball-Bar calibration

  • Measurement and correction of linear accuracy on the X axis.
  • Measurement and correction of 3D accuracy on the 4 spatial diagonals. Subsequent correction of the squareness in the XY/XZ/YZ planes and linear accuracy on the Y/Z axes.
  • Measurement of MPE-P.
  • Generation of the calibration report accompanied by the measurement protocols. Delivery of the original to the user.
  • Measurement of the 2 diagonals of the middle plane between columns, with these in coupled mode. In the case of item 002, since it is a single-column machine, this point is not applicable.

Backup data

  • Activation of the modified CAA files in the measurement software, as a result of the calibration process.
  • Creation of the complete back-up of the data contained in the C99 electronic control. Not applicable to item 006, as it has a C98 type electronic control.
